Kristof Faes obtained his Master’s degree in Health Care Management and Policy in 2006 at the KU Leuven. In 2014, he joined the Interuniversity Centre For Health Economic Research (ICHER) and the End-of-Life Care Research Group at the Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In 2019 he obtained his PhD in health sciences (UGhent) and medical sciences (VUB) with a dissertation entitled ‘Health economics of end-of-life care – The particular case of COPD and Alzheimer’s disease’. His main topic concerns the economic evaluation of (end-of-life) care using administrative and routinely collected data (RWD). Currently he is involved in different projects concerning the economic evaluation of (end-of-life) care.
