Prof. Luc Deliens was recently elected as the new president of Public Health Palliative Care International. PHPCI is a global association that develops and promotes public health approaches in palliative care. Among other things, it coordinates the "compassionate communities" world day and organizes webinars and a world congress every two years. The next congress will take place Oct. 20-22, 2024, in Bern, Switzerland. Luc succeeds Dr. John Rosenberg from Australia in this position and will fill the position for the next three years with great motivation and ambition.
